Training Opportunities
Training from Equipment Inventory provides departments with the opportunity to learn the various rules and regulations related to equipment and the procedures required to tag, track, and properly dispose of equipment. There are several different FREE trainings offered by Equipment Inventory. Please see below for brief descriptions and click on the links for more detailed information such as format, frequency, time commitment, location, registration, etc.General Inventory Procedures
State law requires that each department have an inventory contact. The inventory contact is the primary point of contact for the Equipment Inventory Office and is responsible for completing the department's physical inventories. This course is strongly recommended for all inventory contacts and covers the day to day duties of an inventory contact - everything from ordering, tagging, reporting, and disposing of equipment. It also provides tools and tips for inventory contacts to do their job successfully.OASIS Training
This course is optional for inventory contacts though it is strongly encouraged for those with 40 assets or more. Smaller departments can register and attend on a space available basis. It is held in a computer lab and teaches how to use OASIS, the University's web based fixed asset system. General Inventory Procedures is a pre-requisite for this course.Physical Inventory Training
Every two years the State requires that a physical inventory of equipment be performed. This course is optional for inventory contacts though it is strongly encouraged for anyone who will be performing a physical inventory. It covers inventory regulations, steps to complete your inventory, and various tips and tricks for making the inventory process easier.Custom Training
Custom training (though it is not common) is offered on an as-needed basis. Special needs must be determined for cost effectiveness.Contacts
