Childcare information and consultation is available, including on-site childcare and referrals to community-
based childcare.
Sick Childcare
The UW is pleased to offer all benefits-eligible employees the Tender Loving Care program (TLC) at Virginia Mason
Medical Center.
Nanny Share Network
This informal network is comprised of University families who would like to hire and/or share a nanny with another
University family.
Lactation Stations
If you are a breast-feeding mother, and attending school or working at the UW, you'll be glad to learn about the
UW Lactation Stations.
Caregiver Directory
Whether your needs are the occasional babysitter or for a caregiver to run errands for an elder person, the care-
giver directory gives faculty, staff, and students access to a pool of students and staff who are interested in
caregiving.
Eldercare
As a part of the University's Eldercare Initiative, the Work/Life office provides information, education and
resources to individuals caring for and providing support to dependent adult family members.
UW CareLink
UW CareLink, the University's Employee Assistance Program (EAP), is available for all benefits-eligible faculty and
staff, their families, and household members. In addition to providing confidential counseling at no cost for up to
three sessions per concern, legal and financial services are also available for up to 30 minutes per issue.

Join us for free lunchtime seminars held at the Seattle Campus, Harborview Medical Center, and UW Medical Center/
Health Sciences locations.
