Fleet and Shuttle Services

Fleet Services (formally Motor Pool Operations) provides rental vehicles in support of the University of Washington. Fleet Services also provide vehicle maintenance and vehicle procurement services for University owned vehicles. In 2006, Fleet Services introduced UCAR, an exciting car sharing program located on campus that allows easy access to rental vehicles. The UCAR program is dedicated to supporting the transportation needs of the UW community for education, research, outreach and business.

Established in 1978, Dial-a-Ride, also known as the Disabled Persons Shuttle, is a shuttle service available to University of Washington students, faculty, staff, and University-sponsored conference attendees with permanent or temporary disabilities that limit mobility.

Health Sciences Express assists University faculty, staff, students, medical center patients and their families in conducting University, Health Sciences, and Medical Center related business by providing transportation between the University and certain affiliated medical centers. UW South

Lake Union Shuttle transports University School of Medicine staff, students, and patients traveling between UWMC and UW medical facilities in South Lake Union.

NightRide is a shuttle service for students, faculty, and staff. The service provides an evening transportation option to three different zones within a 1-mile radius of the UW.
