Classroom Support Services

Classroom Support Services (CSS) provides comprehensive media support and technical services through our Help Desk which was designed to assist the campus community. The department provides a full-range of audio and video expertise to students, faculty and staff. We also work to improve classrooms to make use of new technologies for information presentations and to improve student learning outcomes.

Located on the University of Washington’s beautiful Seattle campus, Event Services, a part of CSS, is here to help make your event a success. Hosting hundreds of events each year, our facilities accommodate a wide range of events. From lectures and conferences to receptions and concerts, the portfolio of events we host is rapidly expanding. The following is a quick breakdown of the venues we reserve:

Kane Hall houses five large newly remodeled auditoriums with seating for up to 720 guests, the elegant Walker-Ames Reception Room, and a small conference room.

Mary Gates Hall encompasses eighteen classrooms, ten meeting rooms, and an auditorium. The Commons, which is located in the heart of the building, can accommodate up to 260 guests for a standing reception and also makes a wonderful site for trade fairs or display events.

Johnson Hall is comprised of four classrooms that seat up to 70 and two auditoriums with seating for up to 195 guests.

Our newest location, UW Tower, has an auditorium that seats 205.

CSS also provides studio photography for the campus community along with prints, negatives, digital imaging, slides, and archival negatives & restoration.

We look forward to working with you on your upcoming event or classroom and photography needs throughout the upper campus.
