Art Building 6-M
General: The Art Building (College of Arts & Sciences) houses the School of Art departmental offices; faculty, staff and student offices; instructional art studios and classrooms. The Art branch library is located in this building as is a small food service café. The Katz Sculpter Courtyard has a level, fine gravel path and is accessible from Pierce Lane.
Parking: Lot N3 (Mackenzie Hall) has wheelchair parking and disability parking.
Lot N3 between Art Building and Mackenzie Hall has disability parking.
Dial-A-Ride: Stop #12 is located by entrance #5 of Art Building.
Entrances: Entrance #1 to first floor from Pierce Lane has a ramped approach, a 36" doorway and an automatic door with paddle controls.
Entrance #3 to Metal Design has 36"+ doors, level approach and pull handles.
Entrance #4 to first floor of the new wing has a level approach, a 34" doorway,. and an automatic door with paddle controls.
Entrance #5 to first floor of the new wing has a ramp, a 38" doorway, and an automatic door with paddle controls. This entrance is located at a service area.
Elevator(s): Elevator #30 near entrance #1, serves floors B through 3, highest button 36",Braille markings.
Elevator #31 (freight) near service entrance #5 serves all floors (not for passenger use), highest button 60", no Braille markings.
Restrooms: Most accessible restrooms for men and women are located on the 2nd floor. An accessible unisex restroom is located on the 3rd floor.
Fountains: Many fountains throughout the building, spout heights 37"-38".
Telephone: The 3d floor pay phone is side approachable, coin slot height 54.5". Campus phone on 1st floor by Entrance #1. Payphone located outside building near Stevens Way.
