Lecturer Part-Time in Mathematics Education

The Education Program of the University of Washington Bothell, invites applications for a winter quarter, Lecturer Part-Time in Mathematics Education.  The appointment will be from December 16, 2010 – March 15, 2010.

This position entails teaching two K-8 mathematics methods courses in the teacher certification program.   We are seeking candidates who have the minimum of a master’s degree in education with a strong background in mathematics and three years teaching experience at the K-8 level.  An earned doctorate in mathematics education, curriculum and instruction or learning sciences with a strong mathematics background is preferred.  Additional qualifications include a demonstrated commitment to diversity and understanding of the contributions a diverse workforce brings to the work place as well as the ability to work collaboratively.  All University faculty are expected to engage in teaching, research, and service.
