Position Details


The Department of Pediatric Dentistry of the University of Washington School of Dentistry and the Children’s Hospital and Regional Medical Center seek a Director of the Department of Dental Medicine for the Children’s Hospital and Regional Medical Center, Seattle. This position carries a full-time, clinical track faculty appointment at the clinical associate professor or clinical professor level. Candidates must have a DDS/DMD degree from an ADA accredited dental school and should have completed an advanced specialty education program in Pediatric Dentistry and/or Orthodontics. ABPD and/or ABO certification and eligibility for licensure in Washington State are required. The position will require a mixture of clinical practice, teaching and research, the ratio to be determined based upon the credentials and experience of the successful candidate, as well as a resource assessment in the department. This will be a 5-year term appointment subject to renewal. Salary and rank will be commensurate with experience.

Children’s Hospital and Regional Medical Center is a 250 bed free-standing children’s hospital and is the leading regional pediatric referral center for Washington, Alaska, Montana and Idaho, providing care in 50 multidisciplinary areas with approximately 200,000 annual patient visits last year, including approximately 20,000 dental and craniofacial program visits.
