We are looking for a dynamic educator and researcher to join our founding faculty at the rank of Lecturer on a full-time basis for a nine month academic year appointment beginning September 16, 2010.

The Science and Technology Program at UWB is a cross-discipline endeavor with particular emphasis on developing a clean energy future. To that end, our ideal candidate’s research should focus on fundamental contributions in areas such as clean energy generation, high-efficiency power utilization and conversion, power distribution (the Smart Grid) and materials for solar energy generation. Graduate teaching opportunities may also be possible through connections with the UW-Seattle.

The candidate will be expected to:

The Bothell campus of the University of Washington is located approximately 20 miles northeast of Seattle. Candidates will have a doctorate in a relevant field.  Successful candidates will be expected to teach and develop a variety of both core and elective courses and serve on faculty committees. Since EE is a new program, there will be a need to engage in activities necessary to build a solid foundation for future growth and contribute to program and institution building for both the EE program and the new Science and Technology initiative. All University of Washington faculty are expected to engage in teaching, research, and service.  Successful candidates must be committed to working with diverse student and community populations.
