Position Details


The Department of Physics at the University of Washington has an opening for a Research Assistant Professor in the area of Experimental Particle Physics.  The successful candidate will join the UW HEP group's effort on the ATLAS experiment at CERN.

The group has made significant contributions to the design, construction and commissioning of the ATLAS forward muon chambers. We are now working on the identification of b-quarks and tau-leptons, and focusing our physics analysis efforts on the search for the Higgs and for new physics beyond the Standard Model. The successful candidate is expected to play a leading role in data analysis with an emphasis on the Higgs searches. The position will be based at CERN.
