Condensed Matter/Bio Physics Cluster Search
The Department of Physics and the College of Engineering at the University of Washington seek to fill multiple experimental faculty positions in condensed matter physics, biological physics, and related nano-scale engineering. Appointments at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank are anticipated. Appointments at the full Professor rank may be considered for exceptional candidates. Areas of particular interest include nanodynamics and single molecule dynamics, electronic, photonic or plasmonic materials and devices, and optics. Some faculty positions will involve joint appointments between Physics and related departments (such as Bioengineering, Materials Science, or Electrical Engineering). Successful candidates will be expected to participate in undergraduate and graduate teaching, to develop innovative, vigorous, externally-funded research programs and to participate in service activities.
