Senior Fellow/Faculty Position

The Department of Energy's Institute for Nuclear Theory and the University of Washington intends to appoint an INT Senior Fellow as early as March 1, 2010. The successful applicant will also hold a tenure track or tenured position in the UW Department of Physics. The appointment will likely be made at the assistant or associate professor level, although outstanding candidates at the professor level will be seriously considered. We seek an outstanding researcher with leadership potential who can contribute to the vitality of the INT's visitor programs and workshops, which currently attract approximately 400 visiting scientists each year. Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree and a strong record of published research in nuclear theory, broadly construed. Opportunities are available for teaching and advising graduate students.
