Pending final budget approval, the Information Systems and Operations Management (ISOM) Department in the Michael G. Foster School of Business at the University of Washington invites applications for (i) a full-time tenure-track assistant professor, and (ii) a senior lecturer (full-time) or a lecturer (full-time), both in the Information Systems area. Lecturer positions are not tenure eligible. All positions are nine-month appointments at 100% FTE.
The Information Systems area in the ISOM Department offers courses in Information Systems and related topics in the School's undergraduate, MBA (including Executive MBA), and Ph.D. programs. University of Washington faculty engages in teaching, research, and service. Duties at the assistant professor level include teaching at all levels and research leading to publication in top-tier academic journals. Duties at the lecturer level include teaching at all levels. Our faculty enjoys close ties with the local business community as well as other departments at the University of Washington, one of the leading public universities in the nation.
Applicants for the assistant professor position should possess a doctoral degree in a relevant field by the date of appointment; a doctoral degree is not required, but desirable, for the senior or full-time lecturer appointment.
