The Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation and the Department of Global Health, within the School of Medicine and the School of Public Health and Community Medicine at the University of Washington are recruiting to fill one or more full-time faculty positions at the Associate or Full Professor level(without tenure or tenure track). Appointments may be made to the research track or regular track according to the qualifications and interests of the applicant.
The successful applicant(s) will have an MD or a PhD in epidemiology, biostatistics, health informatics, or related field. Successful applicant(s) will have a proven record of assessment, practice and research on national health information systems, burden of disease, and measurement of service delivery, with extensive international experience. Incumbents will be expected to create methods and approaches that will facilitate improved health information systems in developing countries. The successful applicant(s) will also take on an important leadership role in mentoring pre-doctoral and post-doctoral fellows working in the field of health metrics and burden of disease. All University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research, and service.
