Position Details


The College of Forest Resources at the University of Washington seeks a broadly trained, field-oriented terrestrial vertebrate ecologist with expertise in conservation biology, population ecology, wildlife habitat relationships, or related fields. This is a full-time (100% FTE), 9-month, tenure eligible position at the rank of Assistant Professor. Ph.D. required. UW faculty engage in teaching, research and service. The successful applicant will be expected to maintain an active, collaborative research program with opportunities for interaction with CFR and other UW faculty, state and federal co-operators, the Washington Cooperative Fish & Wildlife Research Unit, and the Burke Museum. Teaching responsibilities will include introductory and graduate wildlife ecology courses, a course in a vertebrate specialty (ornithology, herpetology, mammalogy), and contributions to other College courses. Graduate instruction may be in areas of personal research interest.
