The School of Dentistry at the University of Washington is seeking applications for the position of Associate Dean for Clinical Services. This is a full-time position, available March 1, 2008. The rank will be Associate Professor or Professor. Appointment can be in the tenure-track or non-tenure (multiple-year terms) clinical track (Dental Pathway). A DDS or DMD degree is required. Appointment track, rank, unit and salary will be commensurate with academic and administrative experience. Applicants must have dental licensure (or the ability to become licensed) in Washington State and a current license to practice dentistry in the State of Washington is required at the time of appointment. Opportunity for intramural practice is available.
We seek an individual with experience in an academic institution, with an in-depth understanding of clinical operations in large universities, as well as a strong track record of scholarly activity. This individual will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative educational clinical programs for the UW dental program.
The Associate Dean for Clinical Services’ administrative duties include oversight of all predoctoral, graduate, specialty, and intramural practice clinics, as well as related clinical support services. Academic responsibilities include participation in the School’s teaching, research, and service programs.
