The Department of Asian Languages and Literature at the University of Washington invites applications for a full-time Lecturer position in Vietnamese language beginning in September 2008. The completion of the M.A.is required. University of Washington faculty members engage in teaching, research and service. Candidates should have native or near-native proficiency in Vietnamese and experience in teaching the languages at the college or university level. Experience in language teaching methodology, language testing, and in computer assisted language technology is required. Applicants should be able to teach Vietnamese at all levels, develop teaching materials, including web-based materials, and train and supervise teaching assistants. The term of this appointment is three years.
