COMPARATIVE POLITICS OF POSTCOMMUNIST EUROPE AND/OR EURASIA
The Department of Political Science at the University of Washington invites applicants for a full-time (100% FTE) tenure-track position as Assistant Professor in the comparative politics of postcommunist Europe and/or Eurasia. We seek candidates interested in topics such as the effects of the expansion of the European Union to the east; comparative democratization in the former Soviet Union and East-Central Europe; the sources and consequences of postcommunist ethnic and national identities; and the political economy of postcommunist societies. University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research and service. Candidates should have their Ph.D. prior to the appointment start date or be ABD.
