For anyone who has questions or needs training or technical assistance regarding accessible information technology in education, the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research (NIDRR) has established ten regional centers to address this need. The centers are funded to provide information, training, and technical assistance specifically to educational entities within their regions. These centers act as a "one-stop," central, comprehensive resource on a variety of issues related to accessibility in employment, public services, public accommodations, and communications, as well as information technology accessibility.
Formerly known as Disability and Business Technical Assistance Centers (DBTACs), the centers are now known as ADA & IT Technical Assistance Centers, reflecting the emphasis they now place on information technology (IT) accessibility.
