Whether or not your educational entity has specific policies regarding information technology accessibility and/or web accessibility, most institutions do have a broadly stated policy that prohibits discrimination, and often persons with disabilities are among the groups protected by that policy.
It could be argued that accessible technology is required within the scope of these broad antidiscrimination policies, since students with disabilities are denied access to school programs and services if the programs and services require access to technology and the technology is not accessible.
Your institution's antidiscrimination policy is an excellent resource when advocating for the rights of students and staff with disabilities.
