The Electronic and Information Technology Accessibility Standards include ten standards specific to self-contained, closed products. One of the standards provides very specific detail regarding the height and position of operable controls on these types of devices.

Specifications from the ADA Accessibility Guidelines, particularly those covering controls and operating mechanisms and fixed or built-in seating and tables, may also be applicable.
