Computer Science Professor Richard Ladner interacts with Summer Academy students

Summer Academy Student Projects

In addition to a programming class, students in the Summer Academy for Advancing Deaf & Hard of Hearing in Computing take an Animation class, which offers each student an opportunity to complete an animation short, as a member of a team. At the end of the Summer Academy, each student receives a certificate of completion.

The following are examples of animation shorts completed by Summer Academy students in the Animation class. These videos demonstrate the Summer Academy students' creativity, ingenuity, and skill in storytelling. Each video tells a unique story that illustrates a little life lesson in a humorous way, while displaying what the students have learned in the Animation class.
